StreamWriter is a compact audio recording tool that allows you to save Internet radio streams in MP3 format. The program supports multiple-stream recording, and will automatically “clean” your recordings by leaving out unwanted commercials and by cutting the streams into individual audio tracks.
The program will automatically look for all Internet radio stations within your system’s range, and will show you a full list of radios and of the programs they are broadcasting for you to choose from. These programs can be sorted by genre and by the quality of their streaming audio – you can choose to see only those broadcasts with a bit rate equal to or higher than 64, 128, or 192 Kbps. You decide on the number of simultaneous streams you want streamWriter to record for you – the program will carefully split each of them in the corresponding MP3 tracks, and will add all the ID3 tags available for them.
As a bonus, streamWriter comes with a nice audio cutter – a useful alternative to the automatic cutting and cleaning performed by the program. With this graphical tool you can trim your audio tracks according to your preferences.
Great audio recording tool to grab any stream coming through your sound card.
It lets you record internet radio stations as they are playing on your computer.
